Olympic Roboxing

A postal game for 2 players (or tournament) by John Walker 2026.

Overview

You are competing for a gold medal, in the robotic boxing Olympics. You have entered a programable robot.

Set Up

You have 10 points to allocate to your robot’s strategy: Attack, Defence and Adaptability. These are set for the whole game.

You also have 15 points to program skills: Counter, Feint and Combination. Each further skill of the same type costs twice as much as the previous one (1,2,4 etc). Players receive 1 of each skill free of charge.

Game Mechanics

Each round you have seven slots which you must allocate attack or defence. You may also allocate one skill to any of these slots.

Each slot is compared to your opponent's

Counter and Feint skills replace attack slots and remain in place unless they are reprogramed before a round. The combination is a one-off attack and does not remain in place for the next round.

The combination skill is only of use when played on a populated attacking slot (attack, counter or feint). The combination skill doubles the points scored for any successful attack.
